DAY 1 Arrival to Zagreb
Arrival to the Zagreb Airport. Leisure time until welcome dinner. Overnight.
DAY 2 Explore the Croatian Capital
Breakfast. Zagrebarium Tour
– a quest for futuristic past, eccentric personalities, centennial brands and
forgotten visions. It's a two hours walking tour - an imaginative alternative
to classical sightseeing tour with a costumized tour guide Iva. You will relive
the expansion of 19th and early 20th century Zagreb, hear stories of amazing
minds, incredible events and Croatian inventions and enjoy a ride in the
shortest funicular in the world. You will walk along Jelačić Square where
around 500,000 Croatian citizens came to greet their silver champions on their
way back from Moscow.Lunch in beautiful
environment of Maksimir Park. After lunch, guided tour of FC Dinamo Stadium and
facilities where you will hear interesting facts from the history of this club.
FC Dinamo is the springboard of many players of today's Croatian National
Football Team like Dejan Lovren, Milan Badelj, Marcelo Brozović and others.Leisure time for
exploring Zagreb by yourself. Dinner. Overnight.
DAY 3 Along the golden Slavonia valley
Today we will visit the birthplace of one of the most famous Croatian football
players – Mario Mandžukić. Your tour leader will tell you lot of interesting
things about Mario. Then will visit the world's first museum of tambura
and witness one of the most beautiful love stories – that of Klepetan
- storks nesting on the roof of a school. Malena is a female stork with
a broken wing, so for 10 years in a row, in March, her love Klepetan comes back
to her from the far south. We continue toward
Đakovo, a town which history dates back in
11th century where we will visit the Đakovo State Stud Farm, visited also by the English Queen Elisabeth II
in 1972. The State Stud Farm was established in 1506, which makes it the one of
the oldest stud farms in Europe and proves the long lasting tradition of horse
breeding in this area.Lunch. After lunch, we
continue to the town centre to visit the famous Đakovo Cathedral and then continue to Požega to our rural
accommodation where we will pamper our palates with Slavonian delicacies and
wines – those which Mario Mandžukić promotes around the world. Dinner with
tamburica players. Overnight.
DAY 4 Green and Blue Croatia
After a rich Slavonian
breakfast we are leaving for Fužine, the centre of the Green Heart of Croatia –
Gorski kotar. We will enjoy the ride
along the Bajer Lake, taste local delicacies for lunch and enjoy a coffee in a
unique bar with a view on the lake. This is the area where Croatian football
players often come for their physical preparations. Then we continue to Opatija,
the „little Monte Carlo". Check-in. Leisure
time for a walk and evening drink.
DAY 5 Rijeka in your pocket
Breakfast. Today we are
leaving for Rijeka. Our first stop is Kantrida Football Stadium – the most
unique football stadium in Europe and one of the 10 most beautiful and most
unusual sport facilities in the world, built in the place of a former quarry. Rijeka
is the hometown of Šime Vrsaljko but also of dr. Nemec, Croatian National
Football Team official doctor. We continue toward Rijeka. First we will visit
the city belly – green and fish market – and will continue exploring this
multiethnic city. Our next stop is Trsat where will shortly visit one of the
most important Croatian Marian Sanctuaries visited twice by Pope John Paul II
and then continue to Trsat Castle to enjoy the view on Rijeka, Kvarner Bay,
Opatija and islands. Rijeka Carnival is the 3rd biggest in the world, home of
the last lifejacket from Titanic and hometown of torpedo.It is the lunch time so
we will leave Trsat and go to Kastav, a small town 377 m above the sea, home of
UNESCO heritage – Halubje bellringers. After lunch, Kastav sightseeing. Return
to hotel. Leisure time until dinner. Overnight.
DAY 6 Grobnik and Novi Vinodolski - history and football at a glance
Breakfast. Check-out. Our
today's destination are two small but important towns for Croatian history –
Grobnik and Novi Vinodolski. Our first stop will be the last of 23 mills in
Martinovo Selo where you will learn how people grinded the grain using the
water force and for what the flour was used. Then we will visit the Grobnik
Castle and hear the story about so important Frankopan family when enjoying the
view that extends on the beautiful Grobnik Alps and the unique motorsport race
track – Automotodrom Grobnik – the only in the region. Grobnik is the
birthplace of Mladen Pilčić, important person in Croatian National Football
Team but what is more important – here was born the Croatian President –
Kolinda Grabar Kitarović. Lunch in a local
restaurant. After lunch continue toward Novi Vinodolski. Check-in. Leisure time
until dinner. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight.
DAY 7 Explore the Golden island of Krk
breakfast we are going to Selce where will embark a boat and enjoy a ride to Vrbnik,
a small town on the biggest Croatian island – island of Krk. It is undoubtedly
one of the most famous Croatian villages – cradle of literacy, 'owner' of the
narrowest street in the world – Klančić, birthplace of Valomet – the sparkling
wine fermenting in the sea, on 30 m depth and closed in a steel-barred chests.
Guided tour along Vrbnik and wine and olive oil tasting. Lunch in one of Vrbnik
restaurants. Return to Novi Vinodolski.
Leisure time until dinner. We are going to visit the Pavlomir vineyard and
cellar and then will have dinner and wine tasting accompanied by live music.
Entertainment evening. Overnight.
DAY 8 Along the Adriatic coast
Breakfast. Check-out. We
are leaving toward Senj, a town founded on a hill more than 3000 years ago. A
visit to the Nehaj Fortress is a must-see. We continue to Zadar, the birthplace
of even 3 Croatian football players – Luka Modrić, Danijel Subašić and Dominik
Livaković. We will visit the FC Zadar football stadium where they did their
first football steps. Check-in in the hotel. Leisure time until dinner. Evening
sightseeing of Zadar with a local guide. Evening is the perfect time to enjoy
the music of Sea Organs and the Greeting to Sun.
DAY 9 Explore Dalmatia
Today we will have so much fun. First will visit Nin, the royal city learn
about Nin’s history, go for a walk to a monumental temple, play with the sun in
the smallest cathedral in the world and touch Grgur Ninski's shiny thumb.
Then we go to Nin Saltworks where the salt s produced by the sun, sea and wind
fo 1500 years. Our guide will show us the plantation, Salt museum and House of
Salt. We continue toward Krka National Park, one of 8 Croatian National Parks. You
will enjoy the natural beauties that Croatia is abundant of and the most
beautiful of all – Skradinski buk. Šibenik is our final destination for today.

DAY 10 UNESCO heritage tour
Breakfast. Check-out. Šibenik
guided tour starts with St Michael's fortress (saint patron of the town) that has
a dominant view over the scattered islands and the medieval town which has
emerged from the Fortress itself and continues through the old town –
Cathedral, villas, four wells and most important - irresistible charm of this centuries old town.
A pleasant ride along a
coast to Trogir. Established as a village by Greek colonists, Trogir is one
of the oldest Mediterranean towns with a continuation of existence for 4
thousand years. Our local guide will reveal us all the secrets of this
ancient town and before we leave, take
us to the top of the bell-tower to enjoy a stunning view on Trogir and its
surroundings.Lunch in Pantan Mlinice
- renovated renaissance little mills having a form of a fortification
and representing the unique connection between nature and history.After lunch we continue
to Split. Check-in in hotel. Leisure time until dinner. Dinner. Overnight.
DAY 11 Explore Diocletian's inheritance
breakfast our local guide will wait for
us at Riva, favourite place of Split
inhabitants and their guests to introduce the Diocletian's Split – its Palace, one
of the best preserved monuments of the Roman building heritage in the world,
Perystil, Prokurative, Stari Varoš, Marjan Hill and numerous other important
sights.Then we continue to
Poljud to visit FC Hajduk Stadium and Museum. Ivan Perišić, Ante Rebić and
Filip Bradarić grew up in Hajduk before they became part of international
football scene and National Football Team.The next stop today is
Solin – the cradle of Croatian history and birthplace of Dominik Livaković and
Nikola Kalinić, another two members of National Team. We will visit the remnants of the former capital
of a Roman province – Salona. And then, only 10
minutes away, finally lunch – in Stella Croatica Ethno Agro Park where you will
experience the Dalmatia heritage through tastes, smells and colours of nature.Return to hotel. Leisure
time until dinner. Overnight.
DAY 12 The most famous Croatian National Park - Plitvice Lakes
from hotel and departure toward UNESCO heritage – Plitvice Lakes National Park.
They have been a site of human presence and inhabitation since
prehistoric times. Their 16 upper and lower lakes are a real wonder
of nature whilst "Great Waterfall”, "Veliki Prštavac” and "Mali Prštavac”
waterfalls are ultimate spots to visit. On our way from Plitvice
Lakes to Karlovac we will stop in Rastoke – Plitvice Lakes in miniature and
have lunch in Mirjana Restaurant. Arrival to Karlovac in
early evening hours. Check-in. Leisure time. Overnight.
DAY 13 Departure
Breakfast. Check-out from hotel. Time for coffee until
departure toward Zagreb Airport.
